Translationary Changes Taking Place

Spiritual More Accurate

Than the Technical?

The different translations today reveal the mindset of the authors and their prevailing patterns in translation efforts reveal their bias since the original documents were written.

This bias leans heavily on the technical vs the spiritual sense. The original documents reflect a much

Ancient writers were not so impressed with time as we are today. They had, and took it as well, a different attitude before they wrote their final first versions. Hebrews 11:1 demonstrate this point clearly. The original interpretation emphasis formerly stressed more actual concrete views. So then, faith is a substance, not a vague conviction and faith is evidence of the unseen, not an assurance.

Some scholars emotionally disagree with Sarah Young, not noticing they are under the same judgment. The Bible was written in a much more spiritual setting than we have today. We are much more technical today and it can be seen in today's translations acting to water down the spiritual truth in my view. We see things differently than the ancient writers. We are in a less spiritual and more technical age.

All this literal accuracy reflects a lessening belief at the foundation of their outlook on faith, in my view. Forty days and forty nights meant a long time, not an actual forty days and nights. So, to pass the test to be a rabbi could allow for rain that may have been present all night.

Also, therefore, my horse, my horse, my kingdom for a horse was likely never actually uttered but was more accurate. And Billy Southworth likely never was the person who said pitching the double header the next day would be Spahn and Sain and pray for rain.

It was nevertheless more arcuately reflecting the actual spirit as the more true view. It better captures the view at the time just the same, even tho the Braves lost the series to Cleveland.

True Yesterday True Today

Beliefs that fail...

I cannot get over tricks people go thru to suit their beliefs. Some say what was true yesterday was true when it happened but today is no longer true.

Seems strange to me that if something is true when it happened, but today is no longer true, then it was never true yesterday either, or today is definitely not true also. What about the crucifixion? No longer true? Where do you stop? Oh, ye of weak belief?

Only the words of Jesus

I keep wanting to find a large print red letter Bible with only the words of Jesus in it.  But I always seem to be rediscovering Jesus in Mathew, as I am doing lately while writing in Manna. I am thinking that it does me not much good to be talking about what is wrong. Not entirely sure I am correct in this.

Why did Jesus have to die on the Cross?

 Was Jeus Murdered?

There are those Christians, believing church instructed Christians, who maintain Jeus was murdered by the Italians. Contrasted with the "Centurion of the Italian Band," of whom Jesus might have said He had not seen greater faith in all of Israel, this was unlikely that Italians murdered Jesus.

My view of this is that those who believe any of this murdered business reveal they do not designate between the physical world and the spiritual.

Did not Jesus, quoted in John 19:11 say, "You would not have any authority of Me, unless it had been given you from above, for this reason he who delivered Me up to you has the greater sin."

Question for me now is that Pilate and Judas were now, with those words" in the same column.

We are what we speak

I sometimes think of actors who make movies attacking each other are risking and paying heavily acting out such attacks. Geroge Sanders acted out being snobbish and bored. He looked down on others and was the very essence of boredom. He committed suicide at 65 saying so in a note he left behind. He wrote a bio book about himself with a title that said he was a dreadful man. He acted all his films that way and so he was.

Jesus is talking in Mark 11:23-25 telling me to forgive others so that I can be forgiven myself. Attacking others, or even just being annoyed by someone since it too is a sign of weakness, is an attack on myself.

It was not until I encountered the word "incarnate," regarding Jesus, that I realized the Baby Jesus emphasis this time of year crowds out for the children the fact He was already God before the beginning, when He was incarnate, "born" in a manger.

I remembered then, as a youngster, adults who often said that Jesus was not always a Baby, reflecting this view that Jesus did not begin as a Baby.

I wonder how many young people endure this same mistaken impression, as I did when growing up looking for Santa Claus, only to discover he did not exist. Another case of the story is not true, only the meaning is true. It was all for the sake of the children. When I found this out, I felt that I had grown up and adopted the same adult pretensions.

God is Existence

I trust what Jesus' spirit within me moves me to do.

I was walking home from summer Bible School as a child (I can see the entire scene, every detail, totally vividly even now.) My thoughts were not dwelling on anything at all. I suddenly heard within me, as if with ears of my heart, the words ""God is Existence."

I had no idea then what it meant, and years later it seems now, I unexpectedly stumbled upon a verse in the Old Testament, Exodus 3. It all came back to me, and more time passed in which events occurred, all intermittently, when I had the strong sense God was showing me something and I wondered why.

After all this time the only thing I know now what to do is to witness. Those who confess God before men, he it is who Jesus said He would confess them before His Holy Father.

Jesus said,

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.

The world is about suffering. Did man not give the world to a prince who now has power over the very air? Knowledge works against us. What Jesus has told us is, even though we die in this seen physically changing world, we will live forever in the unseen world fashioned by the spirit I adopt. This is why I am working out my salvation. I want to be where Jesus is. His spirit is the only one I trust.

"Incarnate" restored the real "beginning"

It was not until I encountered the word "incarnate," regarding Jesus, that I realized the Baby Jesus emphasis this time of year crowds out for the children the fact He was already God before the beginning, when He was incarnate, "born" in a manger.

Unknown secrets and known secrets

Getting to Know Oneself

But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. Luke 12:2

What would be covered up that one would not put under a candle? Why would anyone hide anything, for what purpose could that be?

In the Old Testament, God forgave David when he sinned grievously, because David was honest with God. Looks like I will be pondering this verse a lot longer.

Speaking into existence

"So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it." Isaiah 55:11

This was said by God, told to Isaiah the prophet. God placed it there in Isaiah's heart. The tree is known by is fruit. And it was said by Jesus. And it was said to us. What we say we will get, or perhaps got already.

Jesus said we would be accountable

for every idle word we speak.

Indeed, we are accountable for every word. We speak the Word in faith. We project what is in our hearts. From out of the heart the mouth speaks. We are getting what we say. We may speak about another person but we are revealing more about ourselves than many are aware. We are speaking into existence the same way God speaks into Existence. The spirit, like the tree, is known by its fruit.

It is said we gain faith by reading the Word. When we speak, we speak into existence, for ourselves, even while it may be about someone else. This is my view. I gained it by reading. Some by  listening. Some by watching. Some by example. Some by epiphany,

No future in the flesh

 Jesus talking in John 21:22

It is the Spirit which gives life. The flesh will not help you. The things which I have told you are spiritual and are life. But some of you will not believe me. - For Jesus knew from the beginning which of his followers did not trust him and who was the man who would betray him. Then he added, "This is why I said to you, 'No one can come to me unless my Father puts it into his heart to come.'"

"I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:12-14

Nothing can be covered

Everything shall be known

For nothing is hidden that shall not become evident, nor anything secret that shall not be known and come to light. Luke 8:16

worshipping our benefactor

When Jesus tells us what God wants us to do, whatever it is, I want to do it because whatever God wants us to do is always for our own benefit. My reason is that if one values their own personal existence, as I do, then I listen up because I believe God Himself is the fountainhead of existence. Always, I want to be where Jesus is.

Knowledge of the known is not all

Listening to Jesus

Jesus is talking in Manna. He "walks and talks with me" in a beautiful place that He has brought me. Faith is built by reading and speaking while belief is easy and instant, like a mustard seed.

It helps not to be too rich. Rich, for example, as a well to do man who already thinks he has afforded his own heaven. But also there is the educated man who is burdened by too much seen-knowledge of unsophisticated education that falls behind the unseen truths because he cannot keep up with the growing knowledge of his expanding ignorance.

All his worldly knowledge creates so much doubt it magnifies belief only as far as the believable . I suspect that even the knowledge taught in a seminary has educated professors out of a belief in God. Does meaning actualize belief?
